How To Push Pawns And Win Games!
In this chess video we are watching a legendary & historic chess game from 1834. played between two chess giants of that time Alexander McDonnell and Louis Charles Mahe De La Bourdonnais.
In this epic chess game black simply followed the opening principles and he finished the game with his 3 pawns on the 7th rank and promotion & checkmate were inevitable which lead to his opponent resigning the game.
Although historic, this chess game is also super instructive because it shows how important it is to follow the opening principles and take control of the center.

Hans Is Brilliant Against Magnus...AGAIN! 🥶🥶
That e6?? and he lost his ability for O-O which was in black's mind. Well, that's why its good to know some things like 1. trading pawns is important in certain situations as the 2. understanding of the knights ability to move dynamic in the middle of opponents pawns, 3. having the tempo on your side is important one (when the opponent reacts white advances) 4. the golden rule about releasing the (pawn) tension of the midboard - push from a/h line.
"Promo SM" 😢
Did you remove some of your old videos? I remember watching you a while ago and can swear you had more views.
Before learning how to play chess the modern traditional way I played a few years for fun in which I go to strategy was a fundamental pawn build punishing early development and slowly progressing towards the kings side
Yeah.
sac queen f8, if rook takes then rook f8 king has to go h7 then knight g5 check he has to go king g6 then rook f6, king takes knight, bishop h6, king h4, bishop takes queen etc and of he doesn't take queen at the beginning u do the same moves but with queen instead of rook and its mate
why couldn't he play bxe5 immediately? what was the use of kh2?
To avoid check when queen takes rook inevitably happens. He'd have to do it anyway, so might as well save a tempo while his opponents making another queen.
Like the guy responded.
Punishing greed is in the top 5 most satisfying things in chess
Oh yes.
You didn't explain why not 8.Bxb5. I'm guessing it's because 8...Qa5+ 9.Nc3 to protect the B, and 9...Bxc3 wins a piece. And I suppose that explains why 8.c3 which would otherwise look a very odd move, but it allows 9.Bxb5 and THAT probably explains 8...a6.
Yeah, missed that one. You are correct Qa5+ is the reason why you can not take that.
Great
Glad you enjoyed it.
Impressive checkmate!!😮
Was so cool.
Bd2 is a better retreat than Bc1
True.
Blud is not kramnik
But he is 🗣️
Was thinking the same thing
Lol why is everyone calling me Kramnik?
@@castlequeenside u look like him
spectrum?
Yep... you got forked up.
If he play d4 you can just sacrifice your black bishop in f 6 threatening mate if he doesn't take and instead push pawn to stop mate you sacrifice the other white bishop taking the pawn that he just pushed in g6 if he take with pawn you take back with queen check and next move is mate if he doesn't take you sac the same bishop again h7 this time he has to take because of double check and it's just mate
This needs calculation as it is not immediate win but could work.
Bro is kramniks lost brother 😂😂😂
Lmao

Yes, good job my man.
Loved the animations
Thanks. Do you think I should continue with this sort of editing style?
@@castlequeenside Yes! This editing style is really good I don't think you have any competition I've never seen someone with a similar editing style You should be able to become big pretty soon
@@ZDTF Thank you for the kind words and feedback.
@@castlequeenside you're welcome
2:31 Bishop H7
Yes, good job.
2:08 B-But en passant is forced
No, en passant is not a forcing move. Other side can take the pawn but you are not obligated to do so.
@@castlequeenside But anarchychess said so
@@ZDTF He is probably messing with his viewers. You are not obligated to pick up the pawn with en passant rule.😄
I never really understood why taking the center was so important Finally I understand why
Yeah, this game really showcased that.
Good video
Thank you. Do you like the animations?
